Painting Condoms
This year Catherine Jane's design for Evening of Hope- A Night of Lifesaving Fashion is made using a rich matte lace fabric and 2,500 condoms.
We will be painting the condoms in combinations of gold, orange, teal, bronze and copper in order to accentuate the illuminating properties of the fabric. From shoulder to bodice to skirt, the lines of the gown are asymmetrical giving way to a spectacular drape.
The design of the gown is created to emphasize both the colors of the fabric and the remarkable durability of the condoms. The results of which will be dramatic.
This week we begin by painting the first series of condoms in teal, bronze and copper. The second series in copper and bronze. The third in gold and bronze and finally gold and orange.
